I am a Brighton-based freelance journalist and author of books including Toddlers: An Instruction Manual ;  How to Overcome Fear of Driving  and Social Media for Writers.

Yes that's a tiny neon pug, what of it?

Yes that’s a tiny neon pug, what of it?

As a journalist my work has appeared in The Times, Daily Express, easyJet Traveller, Gurgle magazine, Mother & Baby, Sussex Style and many websites including Tesco Magazine online, AOL’s ParentDish, eHarmony, My Family Club,, Ready for Ten, Welldoing and Vodafone’s Digital Parenting Guide. You can find links to some of those features on the right.

I regularly feature as a parenting expert in UK and international media (most recently BBC radio, Daily Telegraph, Psychologies, Mother & Baby, Prima and Real People magazines). I currently run the website and social media for the Supernanny brand.

I’m an experienced blogger and know more than is decent about SEO. I’ve been writing my award nominated geeky lifestyle blog Opposable Thumbs for around 10 years and run the UK’s only site for child bloggers, KidsBlogClub.

In 2013 I was a finalist in Vodafone’s Digital Heroes Awards for my work with KidsBlogClub, and in 2014 I was shortlisted in the Best Writer category at the Brilliance in Blogging Awards.

I can write funny. I can write serious. I’ve interviewed Jedward and survived. But most of all, I can write practical, well-researched and down to earth copy delivered to deadline.
