I am a freelance journalist, life coach and author of the best-selling parenting book Toddlers: An Instruction Manual (which features contributions from over 60 parent bloggers). I’m currently working on my next publication which is a self help book about fear of driving.  It’s due to be published later in 2012.

As a journalist my work has appeared in The Times, Daily Express, easyJet Traveller, Gurgle baby magazine and many websites including Tesco Magazine online, AOL’s ParentDish, My Family Club and Ready for Ten (where I am the resident children’s behaviour expert). You can find links to some of those features on the right.

I regularly feature as a parenting expert in UK and international media (most recently BBC radio, Mother & Baby, Practical Parenting and Real People magazines).

I’m an experienced blogger and know more than is decent about SEO. I’ve been writing my blog JoannetheCoach for around 5 years and recently launched the UK’s first mother and daughter blog, Eljae,  which I co-write with my 12 year old daughter. In 2010 I was part of the judging panel for the first Mad Awards for parent bloggers.

I can write funny. I can write serious. I’ve interviewed Jedward and survived. But most of all, I can write practical, down to earth copy delivered to deadline.
